The new season is rolling in fast. Pumpkins, squash, and cranberries are all ripe for such a short period of time, it would be heartbreaking to miss it. We’re introducing some of our fall favorites, starting with dessert. There is something for everyone, from hearty vegetarian fare to mixed up fall traditions. Which ones are your favorites?
In the fall, the days get shorter and you need a little extra sunshine. With each wafer-thin slice of apple set in place, this apple pie looks and tastes as brilliant as sunlight. Pick out your favorite kind of apple, and enhance it with the tastes of apple brandy and apricot jelly. You will also need flour, butter, eggs, sugar, salt, and almonds.

A mouth-watering way to introduce fresh Autumn vegetables to your tongue. It is already a great vegetarian dish, but can become a great meat dish if you add chicken and switch out the vegetable stock, it will become a great meat dish. You will need curry powder and coconut milk to stir in an authentic Thai taste. For vegetables, you will need chickpeas, peas, onion, garlic, butternut squash, cauliflower, and potatoes. Make sure you have olive oil, flour, salt, pepper, and vegetable stock.

There is no Autumn party without pumpkin pie, but what about a signature to really make it your own? This recipe contains everything that makes pumpkin pie what it is, plus the soothing taste of apple butter. You will also need brown sugar, salt, nutmeg, ginger, eggs, evaporated milk, and of course canned pumpkin. We recommend decorating the whipped cream with a dash of cinnamon.

For those who can’t get enough of the taste of butternut squash, this recipe is for you. The parmesan bits and nibbles of baguette don’t hurt either. We recommend using fresh parmesan flakes. You will also need fresh thyme, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Not meant to be an entrée, this dish matches perfectly with buttered chicken and white wine.
Last but not least, something for the meat lovers. We all knew something was missing from the classic stuffing recipe, and that is sausage. Mix in a little pumpkin, and you have a twist fit for October. If you are looking to impress your friends with a unique new taste, this is the way to do it. You will need sausage, cranberries, cornbread muffin mix, sage, cans of chicken broth and pumpkin, and if you’re ready for an extra spark of spice, two whole jalapenos.
